Mortgage and finance in Cyprus

Mortgages are available in Cyprus on a residential, rental and on a commerical loan basis, with all mortgages being arranged on a full status basis. There is no non status or self certificated loans available.

Based on the valuation or purchase price (which ever is lower) of your Cypriot property, it may be possible for you to obtain a mortgage for up to 80% of its value. Mortgages are now available over a longer term, of up to 30 years, previously only 15 years, and are available on a range of flexible, discounted and fixed rate. Mortgages are also now available for re-mortgages and equity release facility. Lenders in Cyprus will not take in to account any proposed rental income from a property you are looking to purchase, and affordability of the mortgage is normally only based on a percentage of your net monthly income.
